Women researchers bring SCIENCE to YOU!
During a Soapbox Science event, female and non-binary scientists talk about their research in public places, standing on a small podium (a soapbox), like what we can see in Hyde’s Park Speaker’s Corner!
Soapbox Science is an international science outreach initiative that was founded in London and has spread over the world since then. Its aim is to promote women and non-binary scientists and their research by bringing them on the streets to reach the public. The local organisation Soapbox Science Brussels already organised 6 Soapbox Science events in Brussels with the latest one on June 28, 2025.
In addition to its regular events in public places, Soapbox Science Brussels organises interactive talks at the Planetarium during the WiseNight. Meet our women and non-binary scientists and learn more about their research.
